The opening of a two-day investment conference for hromadas “Strategic development and investments” will be held at 10am on 5 November 2018 in the conference hall of the hotel complex Ramada Encore (Kyiv, 103, Stolychne shose). AGENDA

The event is organised by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), “Decentralisation Offering Better Results and Efficiency” (DOBRE) Programme in partnership with the Programme partner – the Ukrainian Crisis Media Centre.

The conference will bring together over 350 participants, including representatives of 75 hromadas-participants of the Programme, representatives of business and investment funds, implementers of international technical assistance projects, central and regional authorities. The event will serve as a platform for discussion on how to interest potential investors and motivate them to cooperate, choose the right investment strategy and raise the investment attractiveness of amalgamated hromadas. The DOBRE partner hromadas will have an opportunity to communicate and get recommendations from leading experts and real investors, who will help develop partnerships and build clear algorithms for sustainable local economic development.

The forum will be attended by Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services, John Pennell, Deputy Mission Director at USAID Regional Mission for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, Barry Reed, USAID DOBRE Programme Director, together with representatives of AHs, business, Government and civil society.

During the event, officials will congratulate the hromadas that have recently been selected to become new partners of the USAID DOBRE Programme. At the event, AH representatives will exchange best practices of strategic development, attend one-on-one meetings with investors, workshops with experts, discuss successful cases and current challenges encountered on the path to sustainable local economic development.
