The next year budget of the Ministry of Youth and Sports envisages UAH 600 million of subventions for regions aimed at repair, reconstruction and construction of sports facilities:
UAH 200 million – for the creation of new, construction and repair work of existing sports complexes and the completion of the construction / reconstruction of sports complexes launched in the previous period;
UAH 200 million – for the construction of multifunctional playgrounds for team sports;
UAH 200 million is a subvention for cities of oblast importance – oblast centres for the construction of new, reconstruction and overhaul of existing sports pools and rayon budgets for the reconstruction and overhaul of existing sports pools.
“Starting from 2015-2016, with the assistance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the state has invested more than UAH 1 billion for the restoration and development of sports infrastructure on the ground. Taking into account the subventions, planned for 2019, the amount of state support for the construction of sporty Ukraine will exceed UAH 2 billion. I express my gratitude to the Government, the Verkhovna Rada, MPs and sports community for the joint work and support. It is our investment in the successful sporting future of the country, physical activity and health of future generations,” said Ihor Zhdanov, Minister of Youth and Sports.
