The youth must be involved more actively in the development of hromadas and the whole country, Volodymyr Groysman says

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman supports the engagement of young citizens in the development of the country and implementation of special courses in patriotism at secondary schools. The Prime Minister made this statement during his meeting with the winners of the Prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The Prize is one of the elements of support provided by the Government to talented male and female young citizens. It is equal to UAH 50.000. The Prize is awarded for active participation in human rights protection and political life, development of local self-government as well as for participation in national and patriotic awareness raising, volunteer activity, protection of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, development of socially responsible business, active engagement in culture and arts as well as in research activity.

Addressing the winners of the Prize, Volodymyr Groysman said that each of them has her or his own way and vision of future. “But the main point is that you do not stay away from all processes taking place in Ukraine," said the Prime Minister. "Our reforms are not only about change. They are about the creation of a new Ukrainian state.”

He also stressed that the state must unify its efforts in cooperation with youth organisations and must support them. “We need patriotic awareness raising as part of school education, not out of school. We are ready to provide funding for the implementation of new programmes and courses,” the Prime Minister said.
