For the first time in Ukraine the oblast centre of Prykarpattia hosted the oblast Olympiad on local self-government, decentralisation and public administration, founded by the oblast council and the Institute of Humanities and Public Administration of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University.

Olympiad participants included 10th and 11th-form pupils from the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast schools. The winners will be awarded on 1 June on the International Children’s Day within the frames of the traditional fest “We are Your Hope, Ukraine!”.
