The informal association “AH Women League of the Rivne Oblast” was initiated by women employed in different positions in amalgamated hromadas of the oblast. This decision resulted from the roundtable “Women and decentralisation: personal example in the period of change” held at the Rivne Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion of Ukraine.

The round table was the continuation of a series of LGDC to identify and popularise the leaders of change – those not afraid to take responsibility and actively work for the well-being and development of their hromadas.
