On 9 July, the Project on "Modeling of the administrative-territorial structure at subregional level in the Volyn, Odesa, Poltava, Chernivtsi and Kyiv Oblasts" started in Kyiv.

The initiative is being implemented by the Ukrainian Association of Rayon and Oblast Councils with the support of the Council of Europe Programme “Decentralisation and Local Self-Government Reform in Ukraine”.

The purpose of the Project is to work out 5 draft laws on the administrative-territorial structure of respective oblasts and promote public awareness of the reform.
