The Oskilska AH has become the second amalgamated hromadas in the Kharkiv Oblast to engage a German expert Herbert Hruschka – representative of the German Senior Experten Service (SES). The first hromada to do so was the Zachepylivska AH, which last year welcomed Viktoria Loeffner-Mayr, expert on rural green tourism development, after sending a request to the Service.

According to Hennadii Zahoruyko, head of the Oskilska AH, the hromada has chosen the environmental issue not by chance, since the ecologically clean territory will help the AH to achieve its goal – become a tourist pearl of the Slobozhanske Rayon.

This goal was set by the Oskilska AH in its Development Strategy, elaborated jointly with the experts of the Kharkiv Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.

The expert examined the state of the Oskil River and Chervonyi Oskil reservoir and general environmental situation in the hromada, and afterwards provided recommendations for improving these areas.
