On 28 September, the modernised Administrative Service Centre was opened in the Berezivska amalgamated hromada of the Odesa Oblast. The ASC has integrated a wide range of services and will provide more than 100 services to 11,000 hromada residents.

The hromada has independently overhauled the ASC premises and equipped it for the needs of people with disabilities. There are 9 workplaces created in the Centre.

The Berezivska AH is a participant of the first round of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme’s Roll-Out Phase and receives Programme support in the ASC modernisation. In particular, all ASC employees have already undergone advanced training in a 5-module system developed by Swedish and Ukrainian Programme experts. The Centre was also equipped with furniture and appliances.

The support of the Programme is currently ongoing, and a children's corner will soon appear at the ASC, as well as institutional solutions will be implemented to provide quality administrative services to the residents. The hromada will also receive a state-of-the-art Vulyk software complex for the ASC’s work automation, developed by the EGOV4UKRAINE project, which is being implemented within the framework of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme.

Valeriy Hryhorash, head of the Berezivska AH, noted: “We are very pleased that our hromada residents will now receive quality services in comfortable conditions. Through partnership with the Programme and, in particular, training sessions, ASC employees received an opportunity to improve their skills and experience best practices in administrative services. We continue to cooperate and are confident that our ASC will become an exemplary one in the nearest future.”

It should be mentioned that within the Roll-Out Phase of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme’s support to improved administrative service delivery up to 600 ASCs will be established and modernised in the hromadas of Ukraine by the end of 2020.
