On 17 November, the Kamyanska AH will open ChildrenMusicPark, where Tchaikovsky's music will be played under light. And in future, they plan to show a unique performance of the Swan Lake ballet. The participants of the press tour organised by the Cherkasy Local Government Development Centre of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, learned all the detais.

 

 

Two years ago Kamianka city and the villages of Tymoshivka and Yurchykha amalgamated into the Kamyanska hromada.

Today, the Tymoshivka village has a park area with walkways, a bridge, benches and lanterns, street signs are installed in the village, road patching was done and lighting set up. Soon they will purchase sports equipment for the kindergarten.

 

 

Similarly, a model recreation area with a fountain was created in another village of the hromada. Not only does the hromada make good use of the funds provided by the state, it also attracts sponsors and philanthropists.

 

 

The Kamyanska AH provided regular transportation between the city and the villages by purchasing a bus.

According to Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Potapenko, roads remain a major hromada’s problem.

The Kamyanska hromada can boast of many achievements. Among them is the involvement of Norwegian investor Scatec Solar, which is currently building a solar panel field on the former 46-hectare sugar mill.

 

 

Today, the Kamyanska AH continues to work on implementing the Tasmyn Canyon reconstruction project at the expense of over 7 million hryvnias allocated by the European Union.

 

 

On 17 November, Kamyanka plans to surprise the whole of Ukraine with the opening of a new cultural value – the unique ChildrenMusicPark.

 

 

ChildrenMusicPark won in the "Small Cities - Great Impressions" competition, established by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in order to stimulate the cultural development of small cities and territories and to promote cultural heritage. Kamyanka, as is the birthplace of talents, won at once with its two projects. The other one will be implemented by the Kamyanka State Historical and Cultural Reserve – it will be the art festival “Kamyanska – the Land of Famous Heroes” that will glorify all prominent people whose lives or activities were associated with Kamyanka. The total cost of both projects is UAH 1.7 million.
