In Kharkiv, the United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) Programme “Decentralisation Offering Better Results and Efficiency” (DOBRE) announced the rating of the Partner Hromada Capability Index of the Kharkiv Oblast and awarded the Starostaltivska AH with an additional USD 75 000 for project implementation.

The presentation of the Local Government Capability Index was attended by Yulia Yesmukhanova, USAID DOBRE Deputy Director, representatives of the Kharkiv Oblast State Administration and oblast council, heads of amalgamated hromadas of the Kharkiv Oblast, DOBRE specialists, representatives of international donor organisations and media.

“This is good news for us, in cooperation with USAID DOBRE we have been able to implement many projects, prepare our Development Strategy, create youth and public councils, purchase equipment for a communal company, create a business centre and more. We will direct additional financing to the project envisaged by the Development Strategy,” said Eduard Konovalov, head of the Starosaltivska AH.
