On February 19, 2020 the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the Organization of the State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning recommended the parliament to adopt Bill №2653 as of 20.12.2019 on Amending the Law of Ukraine On the Local Self-Government in Ukraine in the second reading as a whole .

The bill enables the Government to make necessary decisions to approve of administrative and territorial arrangement at the level of hromadas and rayons.
