In an emergency, e.g. quarantine, people, first of all, wait for information from the local government officials. For the purpose of obtaining credible information mass media will also address them for comments. Thus, local self-government must be ready for qualitative communication.
Within the USAID DOBRE programme and based on the materials of ICMA and Canadian Health Care Agency, the Ukrainian Anti-crisis Media Centre has prepared a checklist for the local self-government "10 communication steps during the pandemic".
Hromadas can distribute the checklist at their online-platforms and download its version for printing.
