On June, 4 the Verkhovna Rada adopted as the basis the bill on amending the Law of Ukraine On the Local Self-Government in Ukraine dedicated to ensuring the local self-government state guarantees and its economic pillars protection (№3118).

Under the bill, district and region councils will not be able to unilaterally change the registration place of utility enterprises, establishments and organisations. To do it they will need the permission of the village, settlement, city and district in the city councils, on the territory of which these establishments are located. Moreover, the bill suggests changing the location of utility enterprises, establishments and organizations for the actual place of activity or the headquarters location.
