The Today:In the Evening programme of the Ukrainian radio, created with the support by the Council of Europe Programme «Decentralisation and Public Administration Reform in Ukraine» highlighted the local elections progress and the development of the newly created hromadas.

«In a year or two following the local elections Ukraine has to change for the better.We have made the basis for it - 1469 newly created hromadas having equal rights and 136 new rayons have to form a capable management system locally. Powers and resources are being transferred to hromadas – where people obtain most services. And now people demand changes for the better from the local authorities. The changes for the better are soon to occur when capable authorities elected by people are so close to voters», - claims the studio guest, Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
