Law of Ukraine № 1508-VII On Territorial Hromadas Cooperation of 17.06.2014 having come into force, territorial hromadas obtained a universal set of tools, making it possible to unite the resources available in the hromada and its neighbouring hromadas and thus to jointly solve urgent issues of the local significance. Practical implementation of the law provisions has proven that a considerable part of issues of ensuring territorial hromadas functioning can be successfully solved via joint establishment, funding (maintenance) of communal enterprises, implementing mutually beneficial joint projects, as well as with the help of setting up joint services and administration bodies.

Today it is difficult to find a territorial hromada, the authorities of which are unaware of applying cooperation tools or at least of their potential opportunities. But there are a lot of hromadas underestimating inter-municipal cooperation. The material dwells on the issue.
