This year the MinRegion has achieved a considerable success in the decentralisation reform, having established its basis. There has been formed a new territorial basis for local self–government bodies functioning. This has made it possible for all 149 hromadas to have equal powers and resources for their further development.
It was claimed by Oleksiy Chernyshov, the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, during the international expert discussion «Hromadas development: trust, institutions, funding and people», organized by the U-LEAD with Europe Programme.
«A distinctive feature of the newly-established administrative and territorial units functioning is awareness of the fact that their territory is amalgamated not only with the title but also a new common vision of future perspectives. The Government repeatedly emphasized that newly-established hromadas are centres of economical growth with a new quality management and resources», – claimed Oleksiy Chernyshov.
