The President of Ukraine signed the Law of Ukraine #888-VІІІ "On introduction of amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine as to extension of powers of local self-government bodies and optimization of administrative services provision”, adopted by Verkhovna Rada on December 10, 2015.
According to this law, executive authorities and local self-government bodies are granted new powers, which significantly change and optimize the procedure of administrative services provision. Issues under considerations are: registration of a place of residence, provision of data from the State land cadastre, working with documents, confirming citizenship, creation of the register of territorial communities, exchange of data between registers of territorial communities, and data transfers in the Unified state demographic register. Beside that, the law regulates the procedure of access to information from these registers.
The law provides, that starting from March 1, 2016, conditions of usage of information from the State land cadastre shall be changed, while starting from April 4, 2016, the rules and procedures of registration of individual’s place of residence shall be changed as well.
