Today, on March, 4 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed in its first reading a bill on amending the Law of Ukraine On Local State Administrations and some other legal acts on reforming the territorial arrangement of the executive authorities in Ukraine №4298.

229 people’s deputies voted for it.

It is necessary to pass the law as following the change of the administrative and territorial arrangement the state delegated most authorities from the local executive bodies to local self- government bodies of newly formed territorial hromadas. Moreover, currently in Ukraine new rayon state administrations are being formed. Their work will be different from the functioning of the former rayon state administrations, so it is necessary to form an appropriate legal framework.
