This year the main priorities in terms of decentralization implementation are the development of hromadas capability, particularly, enhancement of their financial and resource basis, division of powers between self-governance levels, governmental agencies and local self-government.

Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, covered the issue in his commentaries for the Decentralisation portal: «Part of legislative initiatives, necessary for the reform implementation, has already been registered or even adopted in the first reading by the Verkhovna Rada. We hope that all of them will be supported by the Parliament in the near future. We want hromada representatives not to forget emphasizing the bills, needed by the local self-government, while communicating with people’s deputies», - said Vyacheslav Nehoda.
