Not just rights protection but also quality communication and joint decision search, - Vyacheslav Nehoda on the future of local self-government associations
Local self-government associations have always protected their members’ interests and rights, they will go on doing it. But the changes the country has undergone due to decentralization demand from associations new approaches, new quality communication at all levels, as well as search for joint decisions that are the most efficient for the territories development.
It was emphasized by the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Vyacheslav Nehoda during the round table "The legal status of local self government associations: problems and perspectives", organized by the Parliament Committee on the state power organisation, local self-government, regional and urban development.
According to Vyacheslav Nehoda, since the beginning of their functioning local self-government associations have been based on two pillars: their members’ interest protection and experience exchange between local self-government bodies.
