On June, 16 the Parliament Committee on the Public Power Organisation, local self-government, regional and urban development took into consideration the President’s propositions on the Draft Law on amending some laws of Ukraine on starosta institute development №4535. The Committee recommended the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt the draft law as a whole.

On June, 3, 2021, the President vetoed bill №4535, adopted by the Parliament as a whole as it contained amendments to the law on the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, not related to starosta issues. The President suggested the Parliament excluding the clause on amending the Law On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. So, now the Verkhovna Rada will consider the draft law again without the mentioned amendments.
