The local economy is gradually recovering: local self-government reform monitoring

After long quarantine restrictions, economic activity in municipalities is gradually recovering. Within the period of January-May of 2021 there has been recorded a dynamic increase in the local budget incomes. Compared to the same period of last year, the volume of incomes to the general foundation has increased by 21,2% and reached UAH 133 billion, according to the data of the local self-government reform monitoring by the MinRegion.

According to the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Vyacheslav Nehoda, decentralization and local self-government reform have made it possible for municipalities to develop more efficiently and increase incomes.
