In 2020 Kharkiv City Council won the Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” 2020 with its practice “Support to development of civil initiatives of School for social design and grant writing “Open Grants School”. Kharkiv City Council established this School to identify and support civil initiatives aimed at implementing innovative, image and socially significant projects for the city. This is an effective model of partnership between the city council and the population. It is built in tпрhe format of a training course to strengthen knowledge on project management and the basics of grant writing. Participation in the Open Grants School project is free.
