The Law of Ukraine On Local Self-Government in Ukraine in terms of the starost institute improvement (bill №4535) having come into force, it will be necessary for some municipalities not only to establish starosta districts but also to approve of Provisions on the Starosta, defining the venue and time of the starosta’s taking an oath. Taking into consideration the topicality of the issue, Oleksandr Vrublevskyi, an expert of the starosta’s activity and municipalities’ cooperation, analyses the statutes to find out what causes their ambiguous understanding and different application.
