Guidelines on developing, realizing, monitoring and assessing municipality development strategies have been prepared for municipalities.

The document has been developed by the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine jointly with the initiative «Public Investment Management» of the SURGe project. It was said by Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Ivan Lukerya:

«We are working to create conditions for efficient development strategies to be developed in all municipalities as it is a precondition of their success. The prepared guidelines will help municipalities plan their development step by step. The document clarifies what items have to be included in the strategy draft – from SWOT-analysis (defining strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and risks) to relevant factors system to be measured and calculated for the conclusion on the strategy fulfilment success to be made. It complies with the RBM-approach, i.e. the result targeted management».
