According to the Minister of social policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna, offices of children’s services with the total staff of approximately 4 thousand employees have been established in 1421 out of 1439 municipalities, compared with just 529 municipalities established by the end of 2020. The Minister highlighted that during the regional round table «Forming social service in municipalities: opportunities and challenges», involving over 80 municipalities.

The minister emphasized that joint work of the Ministry of Social Policy and municipalities is always focused on children who are not to live in orphanages. That is why the work of offices of children’s services to prevent family crises is vital for children not to become orphans having alive parents.
