The round table meeting will present the findings of the Good Governance Expertise Centre regarding the Road Map for Good Democratic Governance in Ukraine in the area of local self-government (the Action Plan developed by the Ukrainian side following the results of the High-Level Dialogue at the headquarters of the Council of Europe in November 2022); introduce the positions of the representatives of the state authorities of Ukraine, local self-government bodies, their all-Ukrainian associations and the Council of Europe regarding the implementation of the Road Map; discuss of the issue of improving the legislation on local state administrations and ensuring compliance in the activities of local self-government bodies.

The event will take place on 18 April 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in a mixed format (in Kyiv and video conference mode via Zoom).

The round table is held in partnership with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Representatives of state authorities, local self-government bodies and their all-Ukrainian associations, NGOs, expert community, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine and the Council of Europe will take part in the round table.

The round table is organised by the Council of Europe programme “Strengthening Good Democratic Governance and Resilience in Ukraine” (website, Facebook) as part of the Council of Europe Action Plan Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” 2023-2026.

The round table will be broadcast on the Facebook page of the Council of Europe programme “Strengthening Good Democratic Governance and Resilience in Ukraine”, the Office of the Council of Europe in Ukraine and the Decentralization portal.
