What it is?

This is an opportunity to train competent specialists for high-quality planning and implementation of reconstruction projects in municipality, to increase the level of professional competence in the implementation of customer functions in the construction process.

Within the Training Program participants will:

• master the approaches to planning the reconstruction of real estate facilities, the system of project financing sources and reporting procedures;
• understand how to ensure the process of developing design and estimate documentation for construction, as well as the processes of technical and author's oversight in construction;
• develop the ability to apply public procurement legislation and draw up the necessary documents for construction works;
• develop skills to organise and conduct an architectural competition in municipality, identify risks in relations with design organisations and contractors, and to control the implementation of construction contracts

When?

The Training Program starts on 5 September 2024 and runs until 17 October 2024. It is 7 weeks long. All events will be held online and are free for participants.

Who can join the Program?

Teams of 30 municipalities (2 persons per municipality - deputy village, settlement, city heads; representatives of authorised urban planning and architecture bodies; specialists responsible for legal work; officials responsible for organising and conducting procurement procedures; representatives of local financial authorities) with a population of up to 50 thousand, who are not located in the temporarily occupied territory, have technical facilities (microphone, camera) to join online events and have not participated in Training Program "Steps for Specialists. Recovery in municipalities" in 2023.

How to join?

To participate in the selection, you must fill out the attached application in MS Excel format and send it together with a letter signed by the village, settlement, city head confirming your readiness to participate in the Training Program to an e-mail address: regops.u-lead@giz.de by 18:00 on 9 August 2024, and indicate "Reconstruction_ Name of the municipality_Oblast" in the subject line.
