On 25 June, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, a decision was made to establish a Coordination Centre for Regional Recovery. This centre will act as a temporary advisory body to the Government. Its composition and Regulations on its activities were also approved.
The Centre is intended to be a useful tool for coordinating the activities of the executive authorities, local governments, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), international partners, and donors.
The Coordination Centre will be headed by Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration – Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
‘The activities of the Coordination Centre will help to create a unified approach to prioritising recovery projects. The aim is to align the needs of the regions with the national reconstruction priorities.
With this approach, processes will be transparent, trust will be built with international partners and donor organisations, and financial resources allocated for the reconstruction of Ukraine will be used efficiently,’ said Oleksii Kuleba.

The Centre will also coordinate efforts to restore damaged or destroyed infrastructure, including critical infrastructure, using resources from the state and local budgets, as well as international technical and financial assistance.
