On 5 August 2025, the Swiss-Ukrainian project ‘Ukraine’s Cohesion and Regional Development’, UCORD, Vinnytsia City Council, Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency, and Vinnytsia Municipal Investment Fund signed a Memorandum of Intent to prepare a project of regional significance aimed at developing the infrastructure of industrial parks in the Vinnytsia territorial community.
“Vinnytsia and Switzerland have a long-standing cooperation. For almost 20 years, we have been working together in various fields, including energy supply, digitalisation, transport and cycling infrastructure. The signing of today’s Memorandum opens up a new direction in our activities — the development of engineering infrastructure for industrial parks. This is important for attracting new investors to our industrial sites and strengthening the community’s economy, which in wartime is no less important than supporting the defence forces,” said Serhiy Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia.
This event marks the beginning of a partnership for the development of engineering infrastructure in industrial parks in the Vinnytsia region. The next step after signing the Memorandum is for the Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency (RDA) to prepare a project proposal for the development of industrial park infrastructure. Subject to the successful completion of the independent evaluation of the project application and its approval by the UCORD project, it is planned to provide co-financing of up to CHF 1 million for the implementation of this project.
“Today’s event marks the joining of forces between the UCORD project and partners in the Vinnytsia region to implement our shared vision of preparing an infrastructure project for the development of the Vinnytsia industrial zone. This project will meet the highest technical and quality standards, promote investment, create jobs and contribute to long-term economic growth in the region,” said Marina Bryl, UCORD project leader.
In addition, the initiative aims to develop the institutional capacity of the RDA in the development and implementation of infrastructure projects that affect the competitiveness of regions.
“This project is extremely important for the Vinnytsia Regional Development Agency, and we feel a great sense of responsibility. Our task in this partnership is to prepare a high-quality project application in collaboration with local and regional authorities. And after a painstaking process of evaluation and approval by the UCORD project, to coordinate its implementation,” said Yelyzaveta Savchuk, director of the RDA of Vinnytsia region.
