The Law defines main legal, economic, social, environmental, humanitarian, and organizational foundations of state regional policy as a part of internal policy of Ukraine.

Before the document was considered in the second reading, 6 deputies presented 52 proposals. 46 of them were taken into consideration, while 6 were partly taken into consideration.

The document was approved with consideration of proposals submitted during its discussion.
