The First Local Elections have been Called in Seven More Amalgamated Communities

On 14 February, by its Resolution, the Central Election Commission called the first election of heads and members of councils in seven amalgamated territorial communities to be held on Sunday, 30 April 2017.

The elections will be held in:

  • Velykoseverynivska village community and Hannivska village amalgamated territorial community in Kirovohrad Oblast,
  • Troitska town consolidated territorial community in Luhansk Oblast,
  • Novovodolazka town consolidated territorial community in Kharkiv Oblast,
  • Shpolianska city consolidated territorial community in Cherkasy Oblast,
  • Koniatynska village community and Seliatynska village amalgamated territorial community in Chernivtsi Oblast.

The Central Election Commission declared that the election process in those communities would commence on 11 March 2017.

It is a reminder that, earlier, the Central Election Commission called the first election in 40 amalgamated communities to be held on 30 April 2017.

Thus, after the elections are held on 30 April, additional 47 amalgamated territorial communities will join those 366 existing ones in Ukraine.
