On 23 November 2017 the Regional Development Forum “Bukovyna: the Territory of Success” will be held in Chernivtsi. The event was organised by the Chernivtsi Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe programme.

The purpose of the event is to exchange best practices of local and regional development projects, to establish a dialogue between representatives of local self-government bodies, executive authorities, professional environment and international projects supporting reforms and the non-governmental sector.

The forum will be attended by national and regional experts in investment attraction, implementation of large-scale and long-term projects, and intermunicipal cooperation. The experts will introduce new approaches, tools and most substantial success examples of regional and local development of the Chernivtsi Oblast, other oblasts of Ukraine, and foreign countries.

The following issues will be discussed:

• Attraction of external resources as a local development means;
• Tools that create prerequisites for sustainable hromada development;
• Innovation and participation. Success stories of hromadas;
• Milestones of local self-government reform. Achievements, problems, perspectives;
• Local Government Development Centres: a network to support reform in the regions.
