Doctors of the therapeutic department of the Malyn rayon hospital in the Chopovytska AH received modern computer equipment. Five sets of laptops, printers and a router were purchased at the expense of the hromada to set up workplaces for family doctors.

“Last year we repaired the therapeutic department. Today we are passing along a new equipment. We prioritise healthcare development in the hromada, as provision of high-quality and efficient services for the population is our foremost task,” said Mykhaylo Filonenko, head of the Chopovytska AH.

UAH 49 thousand of budget funds were spent to make the purchase. The new appliances will improve the quality of doctors’ work and digitise medical cards of patients. In addition, in 2018, according to the healthcare reform, there should be a campaign to sign agreements between patients and family physicians, thus the new equipment will allow this process to be simplified and accelerated.

“We used to have only one computer in our department until today. Now there are already 6 of them. Besides, due to the support of the AH authorities, we have a high-speed Internet in the department. This is a change in the quality of services and comfort for the residents,” said Iryna Andriyenko, a family doctor.

It is worth reminding that the Zhytomyr Oblast will receive over UAH 150 million for the construction of rural outpatient clinics in 2018. Today, the network of these institutions continues to form.
