On 17 January 2018, the Pokrovske Rayon State Administration hosted a seminar “Healthcare reform: tasks and first steps of hromadas” with the participation of the leadership of the rayon state administration and rayon council, medical specialists of the rayon, heads of Pokrovske, Velykomykhaylivka, Malomykhaylivka, Vyshneve, Orly, Katerynivka, Prosyana village and rural settlement councils

The seminar was conducted by Olena Tertyshna, director of the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion of Ukraine, and Olena Hladka, municipal services adviser.

“Hromadas and rayon authorities are ready to act. The main thing is to work out the correct algorithm of steps that will enhance the quality of healthcare services in the hromadas,” emphasised Olena Tertyshna. “Moreover, the sector has developed a sectoral strategy for healthcare reform, offering several options. The hromadas predominantly supported the concept of preserving the integral property complexes of the Primary Healthcare Centres by transferring them to the balance of those hromadas formed around rayon centres and concluding agreements on intermunicipal cooperation in the field of provision of healthcare services on their behalf.”
