Despite the proximity to the town, the transport connection was complicated: people travelled on foot along the path through the swamp.

Senior people say there has never been a road in this locality. Two years ago, Ostrivok joined the Zymnivska amalgamated hromada. Since then, the first road has been built in the village. UAH 2 million have been invested in more than one and a half kilometres of roadway.

The AH leaders plan to asphalt two more roads and set up street lighting in the village of Ostrivok. Funds have already been envisaged for these purposes.
