The Academy of Leadership of the Council of Europe for the next group of local self-government representatives from the Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kirovohrad, Mykolayiv and Ternopil Oblasts will start in Kyiv on 26-28 March 2018.

Trainers of the Council of Europe Programme "Decentralisation and Local Self-Government Reform in Ukraine" and the Polish Foundation in Support of Local Democracy together with the participants will pass through three training sessions, which will take place both in Ukraine and in Poland.

Training is carried out within the framework of the USAID Programme “Decentralisation Offering Better Results and Efficiency” (DOBRE) in cooperation with the Council of Europe, on the basis of the methodology of the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform "Modern Leadership for Modern Local Government" of the Council of Europe.

The course is designed primarily for local self-government leaders and local council deputies, and must equip them with the latest knowledge, methodology and practical skills that will help them achieve personal success, as well as the success of their teams and hromadas in the process of the reform and rapid change; teach to transform the threats into opportunities and cope with the challenges of our time; help shape the vision of the future and ways of reaching it of all around, transforming them from performers to micromanagers of future change, and ultimately helping them become true leaders and informal heads of their hromadas and teams.
