In the framework of the practical seminar "Mechanism for creating an effective primary healthcare system in AH: regulatory, organisational, management and financial one", the doctors, who work in amalgamated hromadas, got acquainted with the work of medical information systems, which in the long run should function in all healthcare institutions of Prykarpattia.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, started the second stage of the information campaign on the support of the healthcare reform at the local level from acquaintance with the practical aspects of work of medical information systems.
Medical information systems (MIS) are different. Today there are nine of them on the Ukrainian market. These systems have different functions and a set of free and paid modules. The participants of the seminar tested the possibility of registering patients using the basic components of three MIS.
Two AHs of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast – the Tlumatska and Broshniv-Osadska AHs – have already selected a medical information system and have connected their healthcare facilities to it. Other amalgamated hromadas of Prykarpattia are still in the process of selection which medical information system to connect to for the full-fledged work with eHealth.
