On 1 June 2018, the Chernihiv Regional Contest for Journalists on Local Self-Government Reform and Territorial Organization of Power was announced following the Decision of the Chernigiv Regional Council. and order signed by the Head of the Council Mr Ihor Vdovenkodd 31 May 2018.

The relevant ads are located on the site of the Chernihiv Regional Council and Chernihiv Regional State Administration.

The competition is based on the methodology of the Council of Europe Program "Decentralization and Local Self-Government Reform in Ukraine".
