The conference “New waste management policy – the path to circular economy” will be held in Kyiv on 5-6 June.
The event will focus on the implementation of the National Waste Management Strategy by 2030, the prospects for switching to the closed-loop economy and the EU's waste management policy.
The conference is organised by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine with the support of the EU Delegation to Ukraine and EU-funded projects (Twinning, APENA, BRDO), the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO).
During the event, the draft Framework Waste Law, National Waste Management Plan, principles of sectoral laws (electrical and electronic equipment, batteries and packaging) will be presented.
