Until now, young graduates were reluctant to return to work even to rayon centres. The situation is getting better in the Hlobynska AH of the Poltava Oblast. Here they decided to launch the “Housing” local support programme for young specialists. It envisages provision of office accommodation to young professionals willing to work in the AH.

Due to the programme, the hromada has already welcomed a pediatrician in the winter of this year. Now, another young doctor Yana Shevchenko, graduate of the Kharkiv National Medical University, has started her work in a communal healthcare institution. She is from Novomykhaylivka, a neighbouring Reshetylivka Rayon of the Poltava Oblast. After graduation she agreed to work in the Hlobynska AH. The young doctor was interested in the young specialists support programme, and will soon get her housing.

“Stanislav Dzhus, head of the Hlobynska AH, along with his team, put priorities in improving the human potential of the hromada in a strategically right way, because young promising personnel make the future of the AH. Due to the Hlobynska AH residents, young professionals are no longer afraid to go to the suburbs,” says Iryna Balybina, Director of the Poltava Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.
