U-LEAD launching call to participate in new local waste management initiative

Amalgamated hromadas in the three pilot regions (Dnipropetrovsk, Volyn and Zhytomyr) are invited to apply for participation in the U-LEAD with Europe Programme’s initiative “Upgrading Municipal Waste Management Services” jointly implemented with the GIZ Sustainable Economic Development Cluster. The project will run up to October 2019.

Selected amalgamated hromadas will benefit from:

  • Trainings on key approaches and tools for effective solid waste management
  • Direct support in the elaboration of local action plans
  • Guidance in the establishment of intermunicipal cooperation

In addition, the Initiative will carry out awareness raising measures targeting citizens and relevant stakeholders at local, regional and national level.

To apply, please complete the Application Form and submit it before 15th October 2018 (inclusive) to the following email address: sergiy.ponomarov@giz.de. Up to 30 AHs will be selected for participation by 22 October 2018.
