How should the cultural sector function in hromada to meet today’s needs? How should hromada cultural houses and libraries look like to be attended by local residents?
This topic was discussed during the two-day seminar on “Cultural studios” for managers of cultural establishments and organisational specialists of amalgamated hromadas of the Lviv Oblast, held on 24-25 January in the Lviv LGDC, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.
According to Stanislav Klosovskyi, expert of the Lviv Educational Foundation, the activity of cultural institutions in hromadas, in its best understanding, should form individual and public values as well as outlook on all aspects of life. “If a cultural centre is transformed into a hromada’s centre, then its activities cannot be left out of the residents’ attention. This institution will become more attended and required, and there will be no doubts whether its presence is reasonable or not.”
