Digital Hromadas. Why is it essential for AHs to be online?

In a cycle of articles Digital Hromadasthe DOBRE Programme tells about its support to AHs aimed at their successful development in a digital space.

Didigitalisation is a vital component of a success of any modern hromada. It is not enough to simply introduce changes – it is important to communicate with the residents, focus on the potential, inform about the plans and results of work. For this purpose, the SocialBoost, partner of the DOBRE Programme, has developed the Dosvit platform.

Dosvit is a platform that helps build up-to-date, person-oriented official websites and tailor them to hromada needs by connecting useful applications. At the same time, the website ceases to be perceived as simply a set of pages with information, news, data and contacts.

An official AH website is the opportunity to build trust between hromada leaders, residents, local business entities and investors. The website is hromada's business card that has to make a good impression on all audiences, as well as opens your AH to the world.

The Dosvit platform originated from cooperation with DOBRE partner hromadas. These were hromadas' representatives, each in his/her own specialised field, who advised the developers what key applications should be in present on the Dosvit platform.

How does the Dosvit platform work?

Using the platform, hromada representatives with no programming and design skills can create their own official website in a few days. The platform allows you to tailor the website to AH needs - add symbolism, choose a colour scheme from the suggested range, correct individual elements. In addition, everything works due to a set of ready-made templates.

What principles are followed by Dosvit?

Transparency and accountability. To build trust between the authorities and citizens, it is extremely important to ensure openness of power.

Participation. Involving citizens in decision-making is a must for modern hromadas.

Local economic development. Sustainable development of hromadas is difficult to imagine without cooperation with entrepreneurs, investors and tourists.

All applications in their functionality are intended to highlight the significance of changes implemented by AH. In addition, the Dosvit platform is designed so that even independent experts and IT professionals can integrate their applications into the hromada website.

The Dosvit platform is already in use by the AHs- partners of the DOBRE Programme in seven oblasts.
