In the Lymanska AH of the Donetsk Oblast, two orphans were handed over keys to their new apartments purchased under the “50 to 50” cooperation programme of the local authorities with the oblast state administration.

"The head of the Department of Children's Affairs at the Oblast State Administration Nataliia Tymofeyeva visited the Lyman region, and, together with Petro Tsymidan (Mayor of Lyman), handed over documents for apartments and keys to dreamy housing to two girls,” the statement says.

It is noted that the members of the executive committee made a decision to transfer purchased flats to the orphaned children and children deprived of parental care.

The programme of cooperation between local authorities and the oblast state administration in the purchase of housing called "50 to 50" has been operating in the region for the third year.

“We are already seeing the real results of the adopted programme ... In 2017-2018, the programme realized UAH 58 million and purchased 236 housing units, 22 of which were acquired jointly with the Lyman City Council. This year, the oblast state administration plans to realise more than UAH 35 million, plus a 50% contribution from partners. Now, 59 units of housing have been purchased, and by the end of the year we expect another 120 happy apartment owners,” Nataliia Tymofeyeva said.

According to Nataliia, the Lymanska AH is actively involved in providing housing for orphans - this year 7 apartments have already been purchased here.
