Susanna Dellans is appointed as Sida Programme Director of U-LEAD with Europe. Within the framework of U-LEAD, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) is responsible for improving the quality of administrative services in order to empower amalgamated hromadas and their residents.
Sida supports establishment or modernisation of up to 600 proper Administrative Service Centres (ASCs), as well as development of IT solutions that will provide the relevant services – the Trembita system and Vulyk software complex for ASCs. The work of the Programme’s support to improved administrative service delivery is carried out by three organisations: SKL International, eGA and NIRAS Sweden AB according to the subcontract with Sida.
“I am inspired by my new professional challenge and very pleased to lead our Ukrainian-Swedish-Estonian team. Having worked in the Programme for almost three years, I understand well the priorities and issues that need to be addressed. I am confident that together we will achieve the best results for improving the quality of administrative services and access to these services for the citizens of Ukraine,” noted Susanna Dellans.
Since 2017, Susanna Dellans has been the head of SKL International team that works within U-LEAD on establishment and modernisation of ASCs, and before, for seven years she worked in the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, being responsible for assessing national reforms in these areas. Susanna Dellans has worked extensively with the municipalities of Sweden, including in managerial positions within international projects, she is well aware of decentralisation processes and the challenges of local self-government.
Ms Dellans is a true admirer of Ukraine and is deeply impressed by its transformations and fundamental changes in recent years.
