Who? Per-Eric Nielsen, PhD Associate Professor, leading expert on energy efficiency and CEO of CIT Energy Management (Gothenburg, Sweden). CIT Energy Management offers a unique competence in the areas of energy efficiency and supports the government, municipalities, think tanks and business companies with their expertise, analytics, and energy conservation research. Bringing the best of science to life is CIT Energy Management's mission.
What about? Energy-efficiency innovations open new technological opportunities but how to make "zero" energy consumption of buildings possible?
The lecture will cover the following aspects:
- energy-efficient technologies and their use at different stages of the life cycle of a building,
- background on emissions from energy sector and its importance to reach the climate target,
- potential of reduced energy use through hard/soft measures and innovative technology,
- total concept model of energy efficiency; scope and benefits.
