On August, 5 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved of 2021-2027 State Strategy of Regional Development, the draft of which had been developed by the MinRegion for the purpose of implementing the Law of Ukraine On the State Regional Policy Grounds and Decree of the President of Ukraine № 713 On Urgent Measures Aimed at Ensuring Economic Growth, Facilitating Regional Development and Preventing Corruption as of September, 20, 2019.

The Strategy draft was prepared in cooperation with the Office of the President of Ukraine, central and local executive power bodies, associations of the local self-government, international technical aid projects and programmes.

According to the document, 2021-2027 regional policy is strategically aimed at development and unity, targeted to a human being – a decent life in a united, decentralized, competitive and democratic Ukraine.
