According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the Office of the President Deputy Head, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities will be founded in Ukraine in the near future.

"It is starting its work this week – in Khmelnytskyi at the meeting of the Local Authorities Chamber, with the President being present. The Congress presidium members will be elected there", - he said.

According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the Congress will consist of two chambers. The first one will be represented by the local authorities, heads of municipalities, rayon councils. The second one will comprise of heads of oblast administrations and councils. The Congress office will permanently function at the Office of the President. And it won’t be an "empty" body", - he claimed.
