On November, 9, 2021, the HOVERLA USAID Project started functioning in Poltava oblast.

The Poltava oblast state administration head Oleh Synyehubov, the head of the HOVERLA USAID Project Gabriel Abraham and heads of five municipalities-partners of the Project in the oblast signed Agreements on understanding. The Myrhorod, Orzhytsya, Dykanka, Lubny and Sencha municipalities became partners of the HOVERLA USAID Project in the Poltava oblast.

Oleh Synyehubov, the Poltava oblast state administration head, claimed:

«I am happy for the Poltava oblast to have become a participant of the new large scale HOVERLA USAID Project, having involved five municipalities of the oblast. Under the decentralization conditions, it is extremely important for local self-government bodies to be open for people, to provide public services efficiently and for citizens to get involved in decision making. HOVERLA will enable municipalities to improve the processes. On behalf of the Poltava oblast state administration and municipalities-partners I thank USAID for the opportunity to cooperate».
